my ranga just returned from singapore!

we just went to maccas after a full dinner to eat an oreo mcflurry, cheeseburger and quarter pounder. i guess you have such cravings when there is only shrimp at singapore maccas. anyways, it was the first time i had a quarter pounder lol and it wasn't too bad. except i feel extraordinary fat now :P

bringing back '09 memories

back in 2009, i went off to a one-year camp at a place called howqua. yeah, i've doubt you've heard of it! it's 3 hours from the heart of melbourne, and it's a program required for all year 9 students at our school. every week, we usually went on a hike or horseriding, abseiling etc. it was great fun. the picture below is a very accurate depiction of how we had to pack our packs during our outings. 

it was one of the best years of my life so far, and i will drop some more adventures from it here and there throughout my blog in the future.

today i went for run...what?

yes that's right, vicky tan went for a run. it was only 3.2km but that's pretty good for me. it was obviously my first run of 2011, but it made me feel a lot better about myself.  i ran with my new nike runners, and they were actually amazingly comfortable. although, i think my ankles are getting worse by the day.

okay, it's actually only 32C which is quite okay for melbourne. some days, it can be worse, for example - at boarding school one year it was 48C and we were cleaning in the kitchen... i've decided to be a bit of a nerd and just review some maths on a saturday afternoon.

lately, i've been tweeting a lot and i think i'm getting addicted...i'm now a pro at fitting in tweets under 140 characters.

last night, i said goodbye.

today, my friend, nina from germany returned to her home. it is unknown how long i will be able to see her again. having to saying goodbye on public transport was not easy, and seeing her upset made it ever harder. for two years in a row, a friend who i have grown close to has left the country. although the first friend is suprisingly returning this year (!!!), nina is very unlikely to come back next year.

but here are two words i would like to say to her.
